Of all Lauren’s signature dishes, one of my favorites is her ham! I’ve attended her annual Friendsgiving for the better part of ten years, and every year her ham is fantastic. A couple of years ago, my then two-year-old subsisted on little more than ham for the weeks before, during, and after Thanksgiving, and I blame Lauren’s for being her gateway drug :).

Lauren cooks from a place of love and joy. She values the way food brings people together to share space and time and create memories. This love for food and for gathering is evident in every bite of her cooking. My favorite dish is her Mac & Cheese. Her Mac & Cheese is so incredibly flavorful and has the perfect layers of cheese. This dish elevates every meal!

Lauren makes some of the best collard greens I’ve ever had. The flavor is unmatched. I definitely recommend Tastes Like Texas. 10/10! You will not be disappointed!
